For years, the war between the Lycan and the Vampyre has raged with an advantage to neither side. No winners, no losers. Ever since time immemorial, it has gone on night after night without any possibility of stopping. Behind the eyes of mortal man and beneath the blanket of night, a fight takes place between the ancient races. Male, female, child, adult… there is no exception to who is called into battle and who is left out of it. This is a war that encompasses the world: a nighttime war that never ends. When it is day in one place, it is night in another. It is a never-ending war for when a Lycan and a Vampyre end their battle in one part of the world, somewhere else, another fight has just begun. The war is ancient. It is one with many causes and many reasons for the never ceasing bloodshed.
Some fight for territory.
Some fight because it has always been.
Others fight for revenge.
There have been those lost in this ancient war; innocent blood spilled as casualties when silver scarred flesh or wood spilled blood. There are souls who have cried out for vengeance and hearts that have been broken from this battle. As in any war, there have been those who seek to undo what has been done to them and those they love.

The war goes on in the modern world.
